I hate to come across as a "square" but it is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the United States of America today and not sense the oppressive sexual culture in which we live. It is a subliminal, hypnotic barrage of immoral images, lewd language and erotic enticements that consciously and subconsciously affects our entire nation. It has gone so far that we have become a base and morally callous people. Where can anyone go today without being continuously bombarded by the 24/ 7 decadent drumbeat of this licentious orchestra? We have indeed become a Red Light District nation!
This hypnotic drum beat comes from all different sources of media: TV, radio, the internet, billboards, advertising, the music industry, the fashion world, Hollywood, the sports world, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, classrooms, college campuses, government,
.and on and on. Every facet of life has been affected. Every nook and cranny of American culture has been permeated and contaminated with this sickening vice. Teaching and preaching the moral values and virtues that are vital to preserve a healthy society brings only hate and slander from the vast secular faction here in the United States.

I am afraid you are correct.
Nothing brings this home like trying to raise children in this environment.
‘Pod
“oppressive”??? If you say so.
Prostitution has declined in this country due to the amount of single women willing to give it away free.
Sex is one of the human appetites and as the article says is out of bounds
Eating is also a human appetite and it too is out of bounds —just look at the obesity parade in any mall
If the TV is on, there is innuendo being spewed.
The quote I can’t readily attribute is, “What this country needs is a good solid dose of intolerance.” The one I can (to Kennth Mars in “Young Frankenstein”) is, “A riot is a terrible thing, and I think it’s time we had a riot!” There are several behaviors and “career paths” which I firmly believe should be de facto capital offenses.
The article is complaining about symptoms. The core of this is the porn industry which is a multi-billion enterprise, and they aren’t going to let anything happen that might negatively impact their profits. Everything will continue to get evermore sordid, they will ensure this, as it helps their bottom line.
We are no longer a moral, thrifty, nation. I am fighting back in my way.
I refuse to be cowed in my opinion on these things; I also homeschooled and I currently have no TV. I just have a movie service where I choose what comes into my home.
I am going to respectfully disagree with you. The core of the problem is NOT the porn industry, it is just another symptom. The core of it is liberals and liberalism.
Liberals DO NOT WANT any constraints, whether physical or moral, on their lives. That is one of the driving forces behind their effort to eradicate Christianity in America, because Christianity imposes moral obstacles to the licentious and lewd lives they want to live.
Hollyweird liberals impose their perverted values on us everyday through the television and movie screens. I thank God everyday that I am not trying to raise children in this society in which people like zero's "Safe Schools Czar" wants to teach sex and show porn to our children in the public schools.
In short, if we do not reverse the trend, we run the risk of becoming another Babylon.
God bless you!!
Hopefully, your children will appreciate it.
When I was a kid, at a very formative age (9), my dad was transferred to Germany. Post-war Germany. We all went to Germany for 2-1/2 years and lived on the German economy.\
My dad hated television (this is the late 50s, mind you) and Germany provided a great reason to put our TV in the basement . . . . . . with no electricty or antenna, to sit idle for the entire time we were there. Instead, we read everything we could get our hands on for the entire time and, today, I’d rather pick up a book than watch TV. I might turn it on for noise, but the programs stink so bad today, there’s more entertainment (and better quality!) in the book I’m reading.
And, the best part is that it’s the book I selected - NOT something that someone in Hollyweird or New York decided to show me because I’m bored and turned on the TV!!
I do.. don’y you?
LOL...you are right!
This whole society is over indulging!
Not one good prime time show. that’s why I what the travel channel...Andrew Zimmer and
Intolerance usually means right and moral
Oh yeah, big dittos to everything you said. We’re homeschooling 9 kids. We have a very nice TV that will not pick up anything without an antenna, which must be on the roof. Which I will not do. But it plays Netflix very well! And streaming video controlled from mom’s computer.
I LOVE not having to explain all the pop culture, who Brittany is, or why we aren’t getting “Rock Band”.
We have lots of books around, and they are free to pick and choose, as well as a small town library that they are free visit whenever they ask.
