My problem with Romney’s religious beliefs is that if he were elected as POTUS that would be used as a tool by the Mormons to seduce others to join their cult. It would be an attempt to show that Mormonism is mainstream Christianity. I would vote for a Muslim as POTUS before I would vote for a Mormon. At least everyone knows that a Muslim is not a Christian. I could never see myself voting for an Atheist for POTUS since our government is founded upon the belief that our rights come from God. An Atheist would have to deny that we have natural and inalienable rights since they deny the existence of God. I want someone to defend and preserve my natural rights, not deny them.
Really? A muhammadan before a Mormon? See my sig.

Yep. And they need the numbers. People are leaving in droves. You just have to attend any evangelical church in the SLC area or Provo area to see the pews full of ex-mos.
I'd have to reverse the order. Mormons are not enemies by default as Muslims are. With minimal study, Islam can be found to be incompatible with other forms of government. Not so with Mormonism.
Still, that's the lesser of the two evils. I'd be loathed to vote for a Mormon as well. It would be like voting for a follower of Scientology, I'd have to wonder constantly about the candidate's sanity.
"I could never see myself voting for an Atheist..."
I suspect an atheist POTUS would perform much better than either a Muslim or Mormon.
Mein Kampf all over again this time against Mormons instead of jews.
Do the anti Mormons also wear brown shirts?
Well, that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard on a FR forum, perhaps ever. How one could be alive in this time and have any sense of history and make such a statement is quite beyond belief.
Gee, that would make a great tagline for you, doncha think? I wonder how many of the anti-Mormon bigots here agree with you?
