Thanks for the info devolve. I looked on Drudge and didn’t see it today, will look for a thread.
So many children, that’s so sad.
If someone is opposed to a greeting and fights against the use of that greeting, wouldn't you say the person is "hostile" to the greeting?
Do you really want other (alleged) religious holidays and greetings to be renamed by others? - Happy Hamadon, Happy Hamaka, etc.?
People using "Happy Holidays" aren't trying to rename Christmas anymore than you would be trying to rename your father-in-law if you asked your spouse to say hello to "the folks" for you. "Happy Holidays" is just a shorter way of saying "Merry Christmas, and/or Happy Hanukkah, and/or Happy Kwanzaa, and/or ...". If a stranger rattled off the whole string of wintertime holidays in their greeting to you, would you be offended?
If not, why take offense if the stranger lumps them all together as "Happy Holidays"? If so, would it be better for them to go through the whole list instead?

Ice hockey Champs in Texas!
Yeah, but they travel all over for it, even to Canada.
Very expensive sport for a Texan, lol. He's in high school and was even invited to ‘live’ with a family in a northern state for the year so it would be easier to participate. He didn't want to do that.
