God's promise of land to Jews has deep pull on secular Israelis

Although most of the Jewish population of Israel is secular and therefore seemingly unaffected politically by God's promise of the land to Abraham in Genesis, it appears the divine promise that "I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee the land of thy sojournings" holds ancient power. The pull is unconscious for most but very deep, which has an effect on most Israelis...

You’re right and if you think about it, the media, Hollywood and most of show business is run by Jews. So a great deal of America’s anti-Israel propaganda is coming from the Jews themselves! The bulk of us Christian gentiles are pro-Israel. It boggles the mind.

Everyone should read the original article and all of the comments. Very informative and lots of disagreements which add a new dimension to the usual discussions about Israel in this country.

It seems there is a much more open attitude to discussing the pros and cons of Israel in Israel than there is here.
