I don't know why it makes people angry that Roman Catholics can study science and philosophy rationally without shaking their foundations.

It makes me angry that Catholics allow "science" to interpret Genesis to the point of turning it into mythology but turn around and believe unscientific nonsense like virgin births, rising from the dead, transubstantiation, etc.

If science has nothing to say about these things than it has nothing to say about Genesis either. Catholics have allowed their quarrel with Protestantism to turn them against the Bible. Shame on them.

Indeed, the alarming degree to which some so-called Christians hold on to deeply-held hatred in their hearts toward Catholics amazes me to no end. It has no place in the conservative movement and is a cancer to it.
