There is a truly remarkable story coming out of Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Miami FL. Two weeks ago, a Hindu family attended services at the parish, accompanied by their young, crippled son in a wheelchair. Afterwards, they stopped at a nearby store. The father left the son outside while he went in to pick up a newspaper. When he returned, the child told him that a man with a white beard and wearing a long black robe, had come over to him. When the man left, the boy felt strength return to his legs. With that he stood up and showed his father that he could walk.
I don't have more details than those. One of our families was in that church last Sunday when the priest announced this to the parishioners. The Hindu family was not there that day either. Be that as it may, there is no way that a Hindu family could ever know about St. Charbel.

I notice that at its website, the parish calls itself “Roman Catholic Church - Maronite Rite” I thought the Maronite Church was a sui juris particular church not merely a “rite” in the Roman Catholic Church. When did this change?
Am I wrong?

How old is the sun? Why were Hindus attending a Catholic Church service? What is the history of this child's paralysis? Did the priest say anything? Was this reported anywhere or is it an anecdotal story circulation from mouth to mouth?
