I am a Roman Catholic practicing my faith in a Maronite (Eastern) Catholic Church, whose heritage is the Western Syriac Church. The words of Consecration are chanted by the priest in this ancient language of Christ. To hear them is like being at the Last Supper. There are times when it has so moved me, transporting me through time and space back to the upper room. The experience is indescribable.
