I'm neither pro-Roman nor anti-Roman. I've never been to Rome.
I'm so glad to live in your mind rent free.
Don't flatter yourself, I don't hate you. I hate the lies about the Catholic Church that you spew.
I'm not going to respond again...
Hmmmm.
You cannot be a Christian — it’s impossible — not with such an ugly mind as yours.
Light a man a fire, keep him warm for a night.
Light a man ON fire, keep him warm for the rest of his life.
“If all that art was put on the market, how many of the worlds hungry would it feed?”
I jumped ahead and noticed nobody can answer your question. I also notice you have access to the internet, so if you’re serious about your question you can do some research, determine a value for the art in question, determine the number of the worlds hungry, the cost to feed each of them, how long they would have to be fed, and then do the math to figure out “how many of the worlds hungry” could be fed.
When you get the answer it would be nice of you to tell it to the rest of us.
“Just askn?”
Just say’n.
I knew if I didn't look up the fish one it would keep me awake.)
And I dont, that is not a problem, in my eyes, only in yours.
Ugly mind = don't agree with Catholic heresy...
I don't think you get to make that determination, FRiend. My faith is in Jesus Christ, not a sprinkle or lighting candles. I trust in God to provide my everything...
Thanks for playing.
Ephesians 2:7-9 (New International Version)
7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
He misrepresents the teachings of the Catholic Church and you find no fault with it.
Not anyone’s problem but yours.
Just receive a personal email regarding you niters to you and gumby.
Run away.
Catholic bump.
REAL art bump!
If all that art was put on the market, how many of the worlds hungry would it feed? Just askn?
...................................
It would amount to about the same as whizzing into the ocean. Then it would all be gone rather quickly and you would still have the hungry.
I prefer it in its present state where you or anyone else including future generations is free to visit and appreciate the beauty and history.
Enjoy.
The above argument is a liberal-leftist type of shallow reasoning eg. Michael Moore.:)
That whizzing could feed millions. Millions that could care less about art, all they want is to feed their children.
Thanks for this post. You said it well.
But I need to know WHAT I am looking at
..........................
Just little steps...a bit at a time, you won’t live long enough to do it all, there’s just too much.)
You really should visit...it will blow you away!
Especially in St.Peters.
Excellent response.
I was going to add something similar, then figured why bother. I sense there is an issue here, perhaps resentment or bias. The question clashes with the tag.
Judas said the same. Word for word.
Hi, good comments.
It also belongs to me and ~a billion other Catholics.
I resent anyone who espouses such foolish ideas.
The question really wasn’t about feeding people if you know what I mean.
ditto
A lot--for a little while. Then they would once again go hungry. The question is, how many are nourished by the beauty of the art, for centuries? There are things you can't put a price on.
