Pope John Paul II's assassination attempt occurred on May 13, 1981. Note that this is the one year anniversary of the 1st apparition of Fatima in the 1984 format (the book 1984 was written in 1948). The book 1984 got its name by having the author transpose the last two digits of the year that it was being written.

Also, the prediction of Communism was before the October Revolution.

In fact, the Red October occurred the same month as the miracle of the Sun...
