Thank you for the response.

When did the first Reformer deny that mary was a perpetual virgin? And who was it? Are there Protestants who still believe that she was a perpetual virgin?

Don’t know who was the first Reformer...maybe Wycliffe, although I haven’t read what he wrote. Luther & Calvin accepted it, which speaks more to their feelings than their minds.

Pretty sure a lot of the “Eastern Churches” have never accepted the Roman doctrine of perpetual virginity.

After all, James the Just is “James Adelphotheos,” i.e. literally “James the Brother of God.”

(He was killed, BTW.)
