After reading the article, I am reminded of something Mother Angelica once said, “If you’re not a thorn in somebody’s side, you’re not doing Christianity right.”
I attended the funeral of a 91 y/o woman today. The priest spoke of her devotion to St. Ann and how it guided so many decisions in her life. She had a good life, loving family and devoted to her parish. Afterwards I began to think about Mother Angelica, whose life has been anything but simple. I truly believe the strokes that silenced her are part of her purgatory on earth so she can be welcomed into eternal happiness with her divine spouse. What a remarkable woman!!
