We had a charismatic movement in LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) called RIM (Renewal in Missouri). A former wonderful Pastor of mine was a founder of RIM. He introduced me for the first time to a personal relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. It was an exciting time. Life in the Spirit!
RIM never caught on in the LCMS and was disbanded. Most LCMS churches I know of today are dead.
Most churches in most denominations are dead husks.
ALL churches without the Spirit are dead. I’ve certainly been in enough of them to know. I’ll stick with the church that believes in the gifts of the HS and operates in them in an orderly way, of course.
