I am comparing the use of a common literary device among prophets. If Jedediah is a prophet, it is not an uncommon use in that office.
To convict Jedediah on this basis, one would have to convict nearly every prophet, and probably all of the apostles (John, most certainly).
It cannot serve to convict him.
