No one here argues that God doesn't sometimes speak through the words and actions of His children, even the most humble. He may motivate such people to convey His wishes, but they speak in their own words, generally. The issue here is that someone is actually using phrasing that more than implies that God's "actual" words are being spoken. These posts come across as dictation from the Almighty. If such is the case, then God seems to have a major problem expressing Himself using proper English grammar, syntax and spelling, even while employing a "rambling" style He has never utilized before in His scriptural Word. I'm not comfortable worshiping a "God" with such limitations, especially when He scripturally claims to be omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

Jedediah is claiming to be God's mouthpiece, and is saying that the "time is at hand" when The End / The Rapture is about to occur. Never mind that Jedediah's concept of the end times is highly flawed; conceding, for sake of argument, that his eschatology is correct, his timing is possibly way off. If it is, then he is going to be guilty of depressing the morale of his listeners who, waiting and waiting for this imminent series of events, begin to wonder if they've been snookered by Christianity generally. Satan will lull people to sleep in whatever way he can. What better way than to set up false prophecy that "confirms" erroneous suppositions about the times and particulars of events surrounding Jesus' return?

That is the primary danger of these "prophecies": they are misleading the gullible and stampeding them into thinking they won't even finish breakfast before God snatches them away and leaves the earth in a smoldering heap of ashes. Now! But that is extremely unlikely. And, in the meantime, the manifest fact that Jedediah is putting words into God's mouth in such a way as to "force" God's hand on His own timetable, while making Him look like a babbling fool in the bargain, cannot help but have long-term spiritual ramifications for Jedediah.

Jedediah is not a prophet, and he cannot possibly be speaking for God as His chosen instrument. God would see to it that He is quoted accurately., and such is clearly not happening here. For some folks here, I'm sure that the "words" of God, as "relayed" by Jedediah, ratify their core beliefs. And even I would say that not everything he's written is something I inherently would disagree with. But rubber-stamping stuff to which the congregation would respond "Amen!" does not a true prophet make.

I'm sure we disagree about a lot of things, but you seem to be a reasonable person. Hitching your wagon to such an obvious put-up job is out of character. Heeding the words of a self-anointed "prophet" who cannot or will not produce any evidence that he has the authority from God to exercise the office is just plain silly. These "words" are either false-but-innocuous at best, or false-and dangerous at worst. They will either be forgotten as the ravings of someone self-deluded into thinking his words important, or they will lead many people astray, as in the scenario I posited above. But they are most certainly not the direct quotes from God that they are structured to be.

No way!
