He believes that people should know what the work of exorcists is all about. I don't know if he is right or wrong, but I am certain willing to ponder what he says.
Are you saying that the Fr Amorth, in his effort to bring the Lord to the possessed (and, as any warrior must, studiously knowing his enemy), is guilty of performing "occult phenomena research".
I am not asking whether or not you approve of the Fr Amorth or the Catholic Church. My point, to reiterate, is this..."who are we to question God's calling of others...that is between them and Him."
When we think we know the Mind of God or how he works in the lives of all He calls, we are most likely wrong.
BTW, while on the subject of demonic possession, I most certainly have observed it, though not in a cases of full possession. I would bet that as a nurse who have seen it also. There is nothing more pitiful than someone whipsawed about by evil forces...very sad.
I am so glad there are some men and women of God who feel called to bring God's liberation from that evil to them.

I’ve read Fr. Amorth’s two books. There is little in them to titillate the morbidly curious, but there is a lot of faith in action, in all aspects of personal religious life.
