Genesis 6 is not clear. It certainly does not provide sufficient information to reach the conclusions you and the author of that study postulate.
Genesis 6 appears to suggest that God is mortal, and perfectly capable of interbreeding with humans. It said, "The sons of God looked upon the daughters of man...". It did not say, "The fallen ones looked upon...".
I just don't see how you are authorized to interpret the "sons of God" as loosly as you choose. That goes the same for all of the other Scripture you choose to very loosly interpret.
Your assumptions are more than a bit flawed.
The panel of scholars presented more than . . . IIRC . . . 6 hours of testimony.
They went extensively into root word meanings, cultural contexts, etc. etc. etc. etc.
I still have the DVD’s. I may watch them again and take notes.
Suffice it to say, when they were done, that explanation made the most sense.
They did present all the perspectives.
I think I have a tighter interpretation-of-Scripture habit than most folks on FR’s rel forum.
We've been through this before. I have never asked for your help in interprting the Bible or the evidence. The accounts of ETs doing nasty things are not any worse than humans doing nasty things. The ETs just have the advantage of higher technology.
One must use the Bible with extreme reach in language to develop an ET/Universe interpretation. Furthermore, the Bible was placed in service back when mankind wouldn't believe there could be airplanes, radios, computers, or any such technology. They certainly wouldn't believe that the pinpricks in the night sky were distant suns. Finally, the entire purpose of the Bible is to lead mankind to God through Christ. It is not the operator's guide to the universe.
I make a habit to stay off of these threads because everyone insists that I believe what they believe, how they believe it. I plow my own course, and am convinced this is terribly unimportant to boot.

His DVD's told him how to interpret Scripture. Us Christians choose to believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, and Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, but Quix is searching about for demonic entities so he can warn the rest of us.

Reading the various arguments and forming an opinion is not a loose interpretation IMO. In fact, the Sons of Seth view has been roundly dismissed as "reaching" by those who want to ignore the pseudepigraphic Book of Enoch (fragments of which were part of the Dead Sea Scrolls).
My father was a Missouri Synod Lutheran Pastor. Those bloks do some serious study in the seminary, including learning to read in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. The official stance of the LCMS seems to be: spend time working the Great Commission as directed by Christ, not on determining how mamy angels can dance of the head of a pin.
If, as some believe, the earth is a battle ground between the forces of Good and evil, I would think it would behoove us (some of us at least) to dig as deeply as possible into God's Word so as to glean as much meaning from it as possible.
Not every one is called to preach. God calls his people to many professions...some are called to study and others are called to watch.

You miss the essential point. Nobody is at risk from any evil while under the protection of Christ. It is imperative to spend the time winning souls for Christ rather than wasting that time worrying about needless details regarding what you are already shielded against. Christ did not ask us to worry about the nature of things that go bump in the night. He commanded us to attempt to get His shield around others.
