No. I think that’s a spiritual/emotional/psychological sickness.
Which I’ve been very familiar with at times in my life.
Self-flagilation indicates a lack of belief in the sufficiency of Christ’s flogging, death, blood letting.
A kind of vain glory that my sins are so awful, I must add to Christ’s sacrifice in personally !!!!CONTROLLED!!!! ways in order for me to be OK.
