The question was not did they “picture” but were they “efficient” for the propriation/expiation for sin.

I think I answered that, but to reiterate: They were neither “efficient” nor “sufficient” for propitiation/expiation/atonement, the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. That was accomplished by Christ alone. But they were so identified with that final sacrifice that the terms of one can be applied to the other.
