Welcome Home!!!!!!! As a Catholic, it pains me deeply to see our brothers and sisters in Christ, (in different denominations) going through these terrible trials. I can not even imagine (emphasis added) the sufferings you have had to endure. I am so sorry for all the pain that so many have experienced.

God always makes a good out of an evil. I see this as our Blessed Lord separating the sheep from the goats.

There have been many people who have worked and suffered to bring this about - some of them very close to me. This issue has been a divisive one from every side and has taken a tremendous toll on those who have pursued it over a very long period of time. They are rejoicing today.

Personally, it was difficult to walk out of the parish where my dad is the priest (I swam the Tiber last year). It will be nice to be able to go back there for a visit from time to time, once they get all the logistics and the formalities taken care of.
