Keep on kicking, blu!! I love your attitude!

The longest I've ever gone between Mammos and Pap Smears is 16 months, and that's because I just got busy and let the time slide. Never again!! I'm very faithful about them because frankly, they're a heck of a lot less expensive than treatment for full blown cancer!

blu, you are amazing! Best to you in your recovery.

Jaded, this is one you will have to share with Debbie and Maria, together with all our prayers.

Thanks, Suzi, you keep on top of those tests! It takes a lot less time and stress to get the tests than to get the cancer :)

Thanks for the well wishes. I hope the other ladies find the peace and lose the fear.

It takes a lot less time and stress to get the tests than to get the cancer :)

This, I know. I had to delay the colonoscopy I was going to get last year, because during the 10 day period leading up to it, I had a bout of Atrial Fibrillation, and had to start up my aspirin again. I had a Cardiac Ablation done last Nov. and by March was off all the blood thinners, just taking aspirin. But I went ahead and rescheduled, and had it done earlier this year. Truly the worst part is the 24 hr. preceding it, with the prep, and having to drink that icky stuff, but hey, it's 24 hrs., deal with it! The procedure itself is nothing. They brought me in, put me on a table, set up the IV, had me turn over on my side, and within a couple of seconds, I was out like a light! Woke up later, they gave me a muffin and some juice, and hubby brought me home. I never had one problem, and the Doc told me I don't have to have one for another five years. Easy greasy!

Some folks don't want to have them because their insurance might not cover the whole thing. Well that's really STOOPID, cause any hospital or doctor will let you pay over time for it, and the test, even if you had to pay $2000 out of pocket for it is infinitely less expensive and cumbersome than treatment for colon cancer.
