Whatever seems likely to us, and no matter how many fruitcakes, weirdos and wannabees get involved in the UFO subject, there’s just no getting around the fact that there are lots of reports from highly regarded professionals that just can’t be debunked or explained.

______________

By that logic, since millions believe in psychics and ghosts and people who talk to the dead and 9/11 Truthers, etc. Everything must be true.

UFO’s CAN be debunked and explained. Just because true believers refuse to accept logical explanations doesn’t make UFO’s real.

The fact is UFO believers CAN NOT prove their claims, if they COULD it would be the biggest story in the history of MANKIND, something that believers fail to grasp.

Show some irrefutable, factual proof to these claims and it will be the only story on the news 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That little bit of logic seems to escape the true believers.

One thing to remember is that a UFO is unidentified. We don’t know. A satellite that one does not know the location of is a UFO. There is deliberate mixing of UFO with alien experience testimony simply because there ain’t no such thing as aliens among us. Unless you count the Canadians on green cards.

Dracos, blues, greys, reptilians, etc. come from the creative and sometimes drug-fuelled minds of our friends who fervently wish for a more expansive reality. Ain’t no aliens in flying saucers. No anal probes. No human slurry vats. No nuthin’.

We need to concentrate a little more on our imitation of Christ and a little less on some of our friends’ adolescent fantasies. :)

Hi Word Warrior. I’m saying that while the majority of UFO reports are easily explained prosaically, and while there are large numbers of weirdos and also publicity seekers involved in the UFO scene, there are still many cases involving reputable witnesses that defy conclusive debunking. I’m not saying that since millions believe, it must be true, since what millions believe isn’t relevant in and of itself.

I am saying that there’s a lot of good eyewitness testimony, which IMO is compelling. I don’t assert that this constitutes proof, though certainly it could.

No comparison in the data.

That they would be compared them reveals the level of . . . ignorance involved.

Fascinating. Many orders of magnitude DIFFERENT.

yet, as usual, the naysayers have trouble telling the DIFFERENCE and label it the SAME.

I wonder how their figure/ground perceptions are.
