it's clearly not other posterss' chosen role on this thread, either.
It's one thing to articulate an error--call a spade a spade--even forcefully--even fiercely.
It's quite another to take out the knives, razor blades, spears, cat-of-nine tails, acid, cacti spines, . . . particularly with great haughtiness, blood curdling hostility, trashy self-righteousness . . . on and on and on and on.
And those who can't see the difference . . . are in worse shape than I'd realized heretofore.
Perhaps I have a unique perspective. Because of my personality, style, calling, a collection of factors . . . and human nature? I probably get 8 to 10 TIMES the hostile assaults on FR that the next most attacked person gets--if not more. Often, it's without any intervention by any mod--perhaps because they think I give as good as I get or maybe that my uniqueness is such a hate attractor that what else can I expect etc.
Nevertheless, that's been the case--almost from the beginning--though more folks caught more flack from more people back then generally. Actually, things are better now. Though this thread is a real corker.
If there was some way to talk about Quix without Quix being me, I would but there isn't. I just happen to be the most vivid example.
SOME FOLKS, A PERCENTAGE OF FOLKS ATTACK ME--ESSENTIALLY--for the same reasons they attack JEDEDIAH.
NOT BECAUSE OF STUFF IN EITHER ONE OF US OR IN OUR POSTINGS though both are plenty flawed often enough.
NO! THE ATTACKS COME OUT OF THE HEARTS THAT ARE DECEITFULLY WICKED. And that would be all our hearts.
However, some are more undealt with than others. In some, the wickedness is given more air time, more control, more free reign, even. And in some, even the wickedness is called righteous; the evil is called good. That's a very dreadful state to be in. A very frightful state to be in.
It has persistently been the case, for much of my life, that God has used me to surface junk--to cause crud to float or fly to the surface to be seen more vividly in all it's ugliness--whether in groups, families, organizations or individuals. Many times, all I had to do was walk in the room. Seems to be something spiritual. Thousands of clients and students see me as bringing out the best in people. However, there is that interesting side . . . that seems to happen reflexively with me merely being around.
I assure you--GOD KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE ATTITUDE OF THE HEART . . . TO THE NTH DETAIL--THE TINIEST NUANCE. And it MATTERS--TO HIM.

And some folks attack you because you post to them three times in a row for no discernible reason. And some folks attack you because the big blue letters seem to be calling attention to the self-perceived importance of your words above others. And some folks attack you because of self-referential flattery.
There are a myriad of reasons to attack. Claiming to be a follower of Christ while giving Him a bad reputation by your actions might be one.
Yes, Quix. As you note in post 237, you are unfairly put upon - you, who are so patient, kind, loving and forbearing in all your posts!
I know of no other explanations than A) the Religion Moderator unfairly takes sides against you, and B) so many of us Baptists & Catholics are wicked, unrepentant evil-doers in rebellion against God’s Prophet Jedediah, and Quix his mouthpiece!
