Many people hold to your same interpretation. As for myself I’ve always assumed that there is going to be a real in the flesh man at the head of this end time entity. For one thing, we are told that the beast and the false prophet are both thrown into hell while still alive. It is my understanding that the “beast” and this king are the same fella. Likewise if this person sets himself up in the temple and proceeds to convince himself that he is God then it would seem most likely that it’s not talking about a govrnment but simply a man.

There is no doubt that 'flesh' entities on every continent will jockey for position as most influential on this earth. But the effort is putting together their 'new world order' and largely that 'scientific methodology' is housed under the UN ever more as each days passes. Bama is apparently in charge of making US just another nation among nations. But yet there is an effort to completely destroy the middle class and make this nation one more of the same of haves and have nots. The particular event that leads to the appearance of this king is when there is a deadly wound to this new world order in the making.

The 'beast' is the system of government and ultimately will be lead by this particular 'king'. Well I understand hell to be the place where the 'soul' or spirit bodies are destroyed from within and nobody is going to have that take place without each deciding that is what they want to have happen. There is only one named entity the devil that has already been sentenced to death/hell and a numbered of his followers that refused to be born of woman into this flesh age.

The description of action in the temple points to this being a religious revival wherein an entity is calling for all to come and bend a knee to him. There is no such person in the flesh that is going to get all the various religions to collectively bend their knees. It will be view as a miracle of miracles... we are not there yet.

It is written that this person will follow a god that his fathers didn’t know. Obama has both Christian and Muslim ancestry but he’s not true to either religion. He instead seeks earthly power by seizing various strongholds of those he seeks to overthrow. Would this be what it means when it says that this king will worship a god of strongholds?

We would have to leave for a bit the book of Daniel to discuss who this the 'fathers' are. There is only one Heavenly Father in spite of what the deception is. This 'king' is going to present himself as savior and will appeal to all except for the elect. And if one covers history there have been all manner of 'gods' and traditions, this king is going to be representative of them all in one. This king has many names throughout history one of which is the king of Babylon... Babylon means confusion. And this king knows scripture better than all flesh beings, so he knows what magic to perform to have the whole world follow him. He is the fake and he shows up first. Ezekiel 28:12- tells us his history and his future as well as Isaiah 14:12-.

Whether your theories are correct or not I can’t say at this point in time. I will however go so far as to say that I do believe we are in the last days.

So long as we are in flesh bodies the Savior has not returned.

“There is only one named entity the devil that has already been sentenced to death/hell and a numbered of his followers that refused to be born of woman into this flesh age.”

These two points are in error and not by way of my opinion.
1) In Luke 16:23 there is a story, told by Christ, of a man who presently is in hell. From this example we can rightly come to the conclusion there are many souls in hell already.
2)No angel has ever been required to be born of a woman. Christ was born of a woman to fulfill prophecy and to check the devil’s argument against man. The devil has maintained from the start that he is not guilty for bringing death upon mankind. His excuse (and it worked until Christ) was that every human will at some point turn against if enough trouble is put upon him/her. Satan was not condemned in all of the evil he put upon people because all have fallen at some point in their lives. So Christ Himself came in the flesh and endured troubles, temptations and a slow agonizing death and yet did not sin through it all. This made satan guilty of the murder of an innocent man. This proved satan’s argument to be wrong and since Christ, satan’t fate has been sealed.
