That's exactly the way I feel. And I believe that's how Christ would have us look at Scripture.
Just thought I'd pingage you about it, as something of interest.
Thanks for the pingage!! It is interesting!
Although homosexuality is sin before the LORD and is treated as such, it is not the sin that brought forth the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Ezekiel 16:49,50
"Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
"And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit."
This same sin (pride, fullness of food, abundance of idleness, lack of regard for the poor and needy) is evident in our society today. Judgment is at our door, may we as a nation repent and return to the righteous ways of Yahweh.
Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things the LORD hates, yes seven are an abomination to him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.
You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their abomination.
My point from Scripture is that homosexuality was not the primary sin that brought forth their destruction, although it is a factor. The sin of Sodom originated in their pride. Pride birthed a spirit of superiority to the Law of God and they ultimately exalted themselves above the LORD GOD; blatantly trampling under foot His law, committing abominations before Him.
