I think its good enough to just leave all the horrific mean-spirited blather and fault finding stand in all its stinky unglory.
You could just, like, answer the question. Or join the postmodern emergent types if you're more comfortable with mystery and uncertainty.
It’s staggering the amount of bloodshed and horror an illiterate pedophile can produce when he puts his mind to it. Of course that’s what makes modern false prophets all the more dangerous, Mo had to actually go out and find suckers, modern nutjobs just need to post it on the internet.
Word.
Technology is teh awesome. ;-)
Turns out we’re having Little Caesar’s pizza tonught, because with all the car-futz, I still don’t have onion.
If it was anyone but YOU I would probably let it go, but what does “teh” mean?
Quix, Jed and yourself seem to be displaying a discernible testosterone deficiency.
I don’t know, just saying.
It’s lolcat for “the,” and lol had already been introduced on the thread, I think.
Yep, there’s Shannon at post 12.
“what does teh mean?”
“The”.
A commonly misspelled word on the internet, almost a meme now.
Used extensively on funny cat pictures at http://icanhascheezburger.com/
I like cats.
ROTFLOL
Cat poo mixed with burning plastic could have been one of the plagues.
And there are those of us who don’t criticize everything Jedediah says because we are more into the prophetic than catholics are. That’s just the nature of our churches. Some fundamental churches believe that the gifts and prophesy were for the time of Jesus and not now. There are lots of folks who believe it to be real and lots who don’t. It’s the way we’re taught, usually from childhood.
WE were talking about the Holy Spirit and these discussions have everything to do with Jedediah.
I can sure understand why. It’s nasty here. I’ve never seen folks beat up on a person like these ‘christians’ do here.
No, not right away. You get to know the person and his words first.
That’s uncalled for.
So how devoted a follower of this prophet are you?
Will you give him money? Will you spread his words to all you meet?
What will you do for this true prophet?
I don’t give anyone money. I tithe to my church, give money to people IN my church who need it, and to 700 club now and then, and to our Christian school. I don’t send money to televangelists or prophets.
Between the LOLcat Bible and Lewis Carroll, I think that we have adequate riposte to the false prophet gambit.
***He has never claimed he was God.***
His posts contain unattributed statements either swiped from Scripture (normally OT, which the Reformed end of the Protestant pantheon seems to merge with Paul’s letters to his flock, ignoring the Gospels) and adulterated; also statements that would seem as if they came directly from God.
***Hes a messenger.***
Timothy Leary was a messenger. Charles Manson was a messenger. Jim Jones was a messenger.
***God speaks to Him (doesnt he speak to you?) and he repeats it for our edification. ***
I’ve asked him for copies of God’s message to him and he has not deigned to reply. You sneer at those who listen to the Magisterium of the 2000 year old church and yet you lick the metaphorical boots of a street corner crazy.
***He always points us to God.***
So did David Koresh.
