I just did. The Catholic Church uses all the mental mind games and Catch 22’s of a cult.

**Only the cult is the valid church and ( of course) comes directly from God.

**Only the cult has the only valid sacraments, and these sacraments are absolutely necessary for salvation.

***Only the cult's priesthood can ordain these only and only valid sacraments.

**Only the cult has the valid priesthood which is absolutely necessary for salvation.

** There is absolutely no way for the common member of the cult to reform the cult's leadership.

**They are taught that if they leave the cult they are damned to hell.

So....Insert the name of any 20th century cult and tell that it doesn't fit the above description? Then put in the name of the Catholic Church.

Your statements belie a great misunderstanding of the Catholic (and also the Orthodox) Church. Perhaps I should rephrase my question and simply ask who told you that sacraments, instituted by Jesus Christ, constitute a cult?
