Liberal and conservative Catholics alike would prefer not to discuss how the Catholic Church, here and abroad, functions like a liberal/left-wing political lobby.
Some pro-life Catholics are acting shocked that the Vatican warmly greeted the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama, who is pro-abortion. They don't seem to understand that the Vatican and Obama agree on most major international issues.
This is the untold story-how Obama and the Vatican accept major ingredients of what has been called a New World Order.
Another untold story is how, despite a disagreement over abortion, the U.S. Catholic Bishops and the Obama Administration agree on major aspects of so-called health care reform.

....Id say that anyone who claims that _Caritas_ is non-political or that it doesnt take a POSITIVE interest in a Roman Catholic-based development of globalism is someone who has not read the encyclical, or someone who is not able to read it with comprehension, or is purposefully lying. An excellent summation, Poe. And for the record, I've read the encyclical.

Thank God there are traditional Catholic chapels and churches throughout the United States, Canada and the world. They believe that everything that happened in the church subsequent to Vatican II was heresy. More and more and coming to the conclusion that is exactly what the Vatican and the Pope represents. Are you a sedevacantist?

My advice to you is simple: read it again!

...someone who has not read the encyclical, or someone who is not able to read it with comprehension, or is purposefully lying. So in your opinion, those who disagree with you on this point are ignorant, stupid or lying.

INDEED.
THANKS TONS.
One begins to think that some folks are reading the encyclical printed on hemp.

Actually, the Pope doesn’t have the kind of ecclesiastical power he’s asserted to have. That train left the station a long time ago if he ever had it from the beginning of 300-400 AD. I think the train left the station long before the first Pope around then.
Shoot the train has left the station in most Pentecostal/Charismatic churches. And those are the only places or agencies I’ve ever
OBSERVED AND EXPERIENCED THE MANIFEST PRESENCE AND POWER OF GOD.
The rest are, at best, good blatherers.

To be in difficulty with our government is one thing, but to have to wade through a document issued by the head of my Church and larded with newspeak is quite another.
Actually, kind of makes my skin crawl.

I believe the old adage “throwing out the baby with the bathwater” fits what Vatican II wrought.

I kept hoping that John Paul's replacement would address the numerous errors inherent in Vatican II, but I was wrong.
I believe that those popes succeeding Pius XII will owe their maker an explanation as to why they let the opportunity first to never hold such a schismatic gathering in the first place and then, failing that, continuing the heresies.
I believe by definition and taking into consideration what' happened to the Roman Catholic Church subsequent to that infamous event I am a sedevacantist.
Unfortunately, today, awaiting a reversal in the inherent errors of Vatican II there are a lot of sedevacantists. Fortunately, many of them are properly ordained priests.
