1. Hal has noted all along that speculation about timing is just that, speculation.
2. He noted that various folks have different times for a generation. He picked one and was wrong.
3. That in no way negates a long list of BIBLE END TIMES PROPHECY fulfillment data points that have fallen into place in the decades since.
4. Just this last month we’ve had a Mooslymb meeting with Jews about building a 3rd Temple . . . about making it happen in reality.
5. Incremental movement toward the END TIMES PROPHECIES of Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation et al are progressing at a faster and faster clip.
6. There’s NEVER been a time in the last 2,000 years that had more than 2-3 SLIGHTLY, SORTA, MAYBE, A TINY BIT of any events matching BIBLICAL END TIMES PROPHECIES. NEVER.
7. NOW WE HAVE DOZENS UPON DOZENS. Many 100’s of data points marching inexorably toward THE GREAT TRIBULATION and the return of Christ.
8. I consider it CONSERVATIVE to say the culmination will take place before the last person alive in 1948 or the 1967 retaking of Jerusalem logically kicked off that GENERATION timeline.
9. The TRENDS of globalism etc. are far too far along to even take that long. It will have to be wrapped up within a decade or so, it seems to me.
10. Which is interesting because that’s about the time left for the last people groups to get the Gospel in their language.
INDEED.
HOWDY. HOWDY.
GOD’S BEST TO YOU AND YOURS.
The whole world is coming down on Israel and with Obama in charge they can’t rely on US anymore.
The term “generation” was used in several ways just like it is today. Don’t get stuck on the 40 year period because that simply isn’t true.
Those people that are following the false god allah are the decendants of the enemies of Israel in times past. The enemies of Israel have always hated the true God and have always hated His people the Jews.
So Lindsey was wrong when he used the term 40 years? If it is not 40 years, how long is it? If you can’t give me a number of some sort, why should your theory be believed?
So did Zbigniev Brzezinski.
Big whoop.
There is a biblical ring to that. NAsbU Zechariah 12:9 "And in that dayWhen all nations come against Israel.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
NAsbU Zechariah 12:3 "It will come about in that day
that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the
peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured.
And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.
I will set about to destroy all
the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Of course since Darby made the whole thing up in the mid-nineteenth century, 2000 years is an irrelevant number.
Goodness.
Most RC’s are NOT
THAT ignorant!
The Darby straw dog has been disproved hereon multiple times.
Please try to keep up better.
You have provided an excellent example of "poor reality testing to the max."
Don’t waste your time, Quix.
Perhaps they were given forty years
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
from when they were given YHvH's Holy Mount and
they gave it back to haSatan in 1967 ?
That’s just what’s happening. Thanks for that post Uriel.

I don’t have a set number of years that I assign to “generation.”
Christ said, “this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.” If He was indeed talking about the generation that is present when Israel is reborn it seems logical to assume that everything will be fulfilled before that generation has passed (died off).
I’ve heard it is the generation since the retaking of Jerusalem in 1967, that a generation is 52 years which brings us to 2019, minus 7 for the tribulation, which then brings us to 2012.
Just speculation of course, but I am hoping and praying and always looking up....
One thing’s for sure it won’t be long!!!
Praise God!!!
It sure looks like it’s going to be very soon.
Yup, it’s like beating your head against a wall. Hal Lindsey has been duping people and taking their money since 1972 when he in no uncertain terms predicted that 1988 would be the year. I remember; I was there and I still have his original book. In his earliest books he said the Soviet Union was a key player; when the writing was on the wall for the fall of the USSR, he changed his books to read ‘Russia” and made more money. That’s his game: keep changing your prediction, but be just vague enough so when you are proven wrong, you can live another day to dupe more fools. I saw him last week on TV and he said without blinking that he never said anything about the Soviet Union. So not only is he a con man he is a liar. I have his old book to prove it.
That’s the bad thing about dispensationalism: once you are wedded to the system and you believe it is the ONLY way to interpret the Bible, it makes you stupid and gullible, destroys your long term memory for charlatans like Lindsey, and makes you feel smug that you’re going to be raptured, and those who point out your errors (and everyone else)are not.
Those who disagree with "dispensationalism" need to stop worrying about "dispentosationalism" and try to make a case that what they believe is factual. This means not cutting out entire books of the Bible like Revelation, or ignoring Scripture that negates the belief "system", or making the pathetically absurd claim that what Jesus told us would happen in a time, when, say, man would have the technology to number every person on the face of the earth, actually happened in 70AD. I simply will not entertain such patent nonsense.
Now, if the case for certain beliefs can't be made without discarding Scripture, or cutting out huge portions of Scripture, or ignoring inconvenient Scripture that interferes with the belief system, then don't expect me to give it any time or credence.
For example, when God said in prophetic Scripture that a third Jewish temple would be rebuilt before He returns, and that a world dictator known as the Antichrist, midway through a time of judgment on the earth, would sit in that temple and declare himself to be God, and we read on this forum a few weeks ago of plans to rebuild that temple in Israel and we read just this week on this forum that descendants of the Old Testament Levite priests are being trained as we speak to carry out the rituals in the rebuilt temple, and then someone who rants and raves against "dispensationalism" all the time on this forum posts some article from somewhere that denies that the temple will be rebuilt, do you really expect me to give that person any credibility, or engage in serious discussion with that person, or even acknowledge their existence?
So when those who have decided that "dispensationalism" is a joke, not to be believed, and who have decided that those who warn others of Bible prophecy and what God said would happen on this earth are to be scorned and ridiculed, come up with a coherent, believable, credible way to explain that the different ages detailed in the Bible didn't really happen that way, or when they can make an even puny attempt to credibly claim that the events occurring in this world in our time, which uncannily look a lot like Bible prophecy, aren't actually happening, maybe then I'll give them a few seconds of my time.
So far, that hasn't happend and somehow I don't think it ever will.
