You want to watch for stuff like that. People make mistakes interpreting the actions and will and intentions of "Ο ΩΝ". That's why its so important to see what The Church teaches in conformity with the consesus patrum. If you don't, next thing you know, you'll start believing that bats are birds!
I am surprised at you view of Scripture. Is this the Orthodox view? Paul was wrong in predicting the end??? That's quite an idea to toss off. Do you think the truth might be a bit more nuanced that that? How would we then trust what Paul says about the purpose of Christ's death?

Bats WERE birds - in the ancient Hebrew system of classification. They are not birds in OUR modern system of classification - but that is a difference of classification, not a gross error.
