Does anyone believe that if God sent a prophet, he would be living in the wilderness, dressed in skins and eating locusts? One can almost hear the Pharisees.. Good try, but John the Baptist's message was CLEAR, not garbled gibberish. Also, John the Baptist DID NOT refuse to answer questions about who and what he was.
