A Message To Those Who Will Be/Are Left Behind - The Rapture of the Church
The Ignorant Fishermen Blog ^ | 8/13/09 | DJP I.F.

Posted on 10/07/2009 3:25:53 PM PDT by The Ignorant Fisherman

Greetings in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ! This brief letter is written to those of you who have been left behind. May I calm your great anxiety and fears with this great message of hope! God loves you and cares greatly for you. He has a great plan, purpose and future for you and your life. He wants only and always the highest and best things for you. So please give your ear and full attention to the words that follow. The days ahead will be days that will not be easy - in fact they will be quite horrendous. But be of good cheer and of good courage. Have Faith in Almighty God and His Word.

Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but hath everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17).

God so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and mine! God has thus provided a way to restore fellowship with sinners (all humans), and to remove His righteous wrath that was upon us because of our sins and trespasses

You save men's souls?

That is not what I said. I said I wish to save them. And I will strive to do my part in that endeavor.

You have forsaken Calvinism.

Predestination? Indeed. It never set well with me in the first place.

You don't know that.(Night falls soon)

Yes, I do. Not the hour or the day, but the season is certainly upon us. All of Prophecy is pointing to NOW.

"Calvinism" isn't summed up by "predestination", nor is belief in it limited to "Calvinists". And to deny it you have to plug your ears and hum real loud through a lot of different places in the Bible.

I understand that. My assumption was that Doc Eck was drifting that direction, because of my mentioning interaction in the saving of souls.

And to deny it you have to plug your ears and hum real loud through a lot of different places in the Bible.

One would have to hum even louder through even more of the Word not to come to the understanding that Jehovah desires that every single soul could be saved.

Each one that is counted as loss is heartbreaking to Him, and every single soul is precious beyond price.

If God wanted all men to be saved, all men would be saved.

Heart-breaking???

God's heart is broken?

The last 20 people I heard say that were Roman Catholic.

I didn’t realize the

REPLACEMENTARIAN et al “Bible”

had ALSO torn out/flushed the verse about

1.2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It’s amazing y’all have much of a Bible left to read, at all.

Think about it in terms of Forms.

The Romanists and Eastern Mystics (and Lutherans to an extent) believe that God is present within the Form (be it the Church or Sacraments).

The baptistic types reject forms and hold to only a spiritual reality (which is why the Romanist argument about Protestant gnosticism holds sway to an extent).

The Reformed believe that Forms are God’s way of accomadating our human finiteness and point to the spiritual reality.

Even my YRR (Young, Restless, and Reformed) Evangelical Pastor has fallen sway to Driscoll’s (Mark) contention that Jesus was against religion. This is of course silly since Jesus told his disciples to obey their religious leaders. Jesus was against the hegemony of the religious leaders not the forms of the religion. It always makes me chuckle to hear the baptistic types rail against forms while they fail to realize they have as many forms (which vary across the spectrum but include things like bringing their bible to church, a certain style of worship, mandatory small group participation, ect...).

Good points.

However,

I believe Christ made clear that He did not like RELIGION per se . . .

RELIGION as . . .

a FORM of RELIGION but denying the POWER thereof.

Sure, there is a terrible darkness falling over our country and even the world, and often it is for the many valid reasons you alert people to. I just don't believe those reasons are supernatural or other-worldly (although Satan surely plays his part in any deception.) But I think fallen men who are without grace are responsible for the turmoil we're experiencing.

I agree that a form of religion that denies the power thereof (Liberal Christianity) is false.

But that is not a denial of a form of religion. Is it possible to have a form of religion that does not deny the power thereof?

YES.

I think It’s possible.

Greatly difficult.

I think the forms have to be relentlessly put on the Cross, the altar DAILY.

Fresh Manna from Holy Spirit has to be sought and entered into, partaken of; lived out; walked out . . . daily.

As Billy Graham said, we leak, we need refilled with Holy Spirit daily.

I think all congregations and groups more than about a year and a half old . . . need some sort of cleansing, purifying fire; etc. to burn off the dross and rekindle the freshness of Holy Spirit’s RESURRECTION LIFE OF JESUS and His Fire burning brightly instead of and in the place of all the

fleshly human FORMS.

The Reformed believe that Forms are God?s way of accomadating our human finiteness and point to the spiritual reality.

Amen. That's straight Calvinism and why Plato didn't get everything wrong.

Even my YRR (Young, Restless, and Reformed) Evangelical Pastor has fallen sway to Driscoll?s (Mark) contention that Jesus was against religion.

That is pathetic. Knock him around a bit, will you?

You don't hear Rome saying "religion is bad." Protestants have to fight the urge to shoot themselves in the foot.
