A Message To Those Who Will Be/Are Left Behind - The Rapture of the Church
The Ignorant Fishermen Blog ^ | 8/13/09 | DJP I.F.

Posted on 10/07/2009 3:25:53 PM PDT by The Ignorant Fisherman

Greetings in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ! This brief letter is written to those of you who have been left behind. May I calm your great anxiety and fears with this great message of hope! God loves you and cares greatly for you. He has a great plan, purpose and future for you and your life. He wants only and always the highest and best things for you. So please give your ear and full attention to the words that follow. The days ahead will be days that will not be easy - in fact they will be quite horrendous. But be of good cheer and of good courage. Have Faith in Almighty God and His Word.

Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but hath everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17).

God so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and mine! God has thus provided a way to restore fellowship with sinners (all humans), and to remove His righteous wrath that was upon us because of our sins and trespasses

How long will you persist in trivializing God’s Word?

Calling God a liar is the ultimate in trivializing God AND HIS WORD!

Sheesh.

Thankfully, even 3rd grade readers can recognize a dodge when they see it.

REPLACEMENTARIANS et al

DON’T SEEM ABLE OR WILLING TO HANDLE

GOD’S WORD AS GOD’S WORD

They have to mangle and rubberize it and still don’t handle even that well.

You only managed to score three replies over 15 minutes. I know you can do better than that!

Are you saying there are no heretics?

Quite the opposite. Heretical doctrines abound.

That everyone’s ideas are as good as anyone else’s?

That is true - Ideas are only ideas. It is doctrine held in esteem falsely, and doctrine at the level of Word that is false.

That truth is relative?

There is only one truth.

Or are you saying that God has not given anyone the power to judge in these matters?

The Spirit sanctions, be it churches or men.

The Spirit sanctions, be it churches or men.

Given the obvious doctrinal abuses of many churches and individuals, how exactly does that happen in your system?

It was just two minutes. That must be a record.

But you don't seem to believe there are any real tares among the wheat.

As I said, quite the opposite. Many, many tares. I just don't find the age or popularity of a particular doctrine to be of any qualifying value... Just more time for more coats of whitewash to be applied to that particular tomb.

Anyone with a Bible is his hand is as credible as anyone else. No?

Sure. With a certainty... All can be discounted with an even hand. It is the spirit within the person which must be discerned. If the person is Spirit-filled, I am much more likely to pay attention.

Those who make fun of the Spirit, and make those who prophesy the butt of derision, those can be discounted immediately, as the Spirit-filled would never do such a thing.

I speak in exhortation.

So I take it you're not a Calvinist now. Correct?

No. If I were, as I have said before, I would be a poor one. I still "attend" a Presbyterian Church, but without Calvinist conviction.

How can you put forth as a negative "a powerful voice in the name of God regardless of the truth"?

Perhaps I should have said "without regard for the truth".

What if that "powerful voice" IS speaking the truth? THAT voice is "a serious problem?" THAT voice is the "whore of Babylon?"

Of course not. But it is *not* speaking the truth. Otherwise, I would not be complaining.

I think you really under-estimate how much you are deconstructing true Christianity, and at the same time letting real wolves, like the papacy, off the hook.

Not at all. I have kept myself quiet for 25 years. I have studied for that time, seeking on my own, and refrained from rocking the boat, fearing that I would be a block of stumbling.

But the "block of stumbling" are those who do not know the Baptism of the Spirit, not I. Look to the Scriptures, and understand what happens to those who deny the Spirit. Then you may understand why I am not content to be quiet among my fellows.

You play right into Rome's hand when you say there is no church but the church of me and maybe thee.

There is no Church but the Body of Christ. It is not found in creeds or doctrines or mechanisms such as these. It is found in the Word of God, and in the inhabiting of His Spirit. The rest is pomp and circumstance.

Now, don't get me wrong - I recognize the need for structure - And I recognize the structure provided for the Church by the NT. But that is a far, far cry from both Rome and those who cling to her robes.

What is so difficult about patterning a local congregational life after

I Cor 12-14?

Even few Pentecostal/Charismatic groups really do it.

Depends on how energetic I might feel about responding to the typical

poor and meaningless, dodging, shucking and jiving, slipping and sliding, running and hiding,

heretical meaningless blather of

the typical

It is the kingdom into which Christ calls His people and where He has established His ecclesiastical authority for the sanctification of His people (Eph. 4:11-13).

Are you saying the kingdom of heaven, or a kingdom here on earth?

The passage you quote says nothing of what you've been claiming. The passage refers to some being given the gifts that are crucial to preaching THE GOSPEL, not a group that decides who gets into the kingdom.

I haven't seen anyone claim that.

I do see you claiming that an elite few should be the final arbiters for any theological disputes. Of course it's for the good of the masses, I'm sure.

Why . . . that’s the

NATURE

of rubber ‘Bibles.’

When a verse has nothing to do with the topic . . . stretch it MORE all out of whack and pretend it does!

I wonder what the count is on how many times

REPLACEMENTARIANS et al

have dodged giving the least bit of a

STRAIGHTFORWARD BIBLICAL ANSWER hereon.

Has to be well into the many 100’s by now. Maybe past a thousand.

Real great job of

TO EVERY MAN, AN ANSWER . . .

/s

I wonder . . . when they lie down at night . . . do they congratulate themselves on their fancy foot-work . . . slipping, sliding, dodging, running and hiding . . . side-stepping . . .

Or are there some quiet little thoughts that slip in from Holy Spirit about . . . why is it they can’t face some of the Biblical issues, even some of the Scriptures squarely?

That . . . they just might NOT have God and HIS EVERLASTING PROMISES packed away as safely in their tidy little oblivion boxes as well as they pretend they think.
