A Message To Those Who Will Be/Are Left Behind - The Rapture of the Church
The Ignorant Fishermen Blog ^ | 8/13/09 | DJP I.F.

Posted on 10/07/2009 3:25:53 PM PDT by The Ignorant Fisherman

Greetings in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ! This brief letter is written to those of you who have been left behind. May I calm your great anxiety and fears with this great message of hope! God loves you and cares greatly for you. He has a great plan, purpose and future for you and your life. He wants only and always the highest and best things for you. So please give your ear and full attention to the words that follow. The days ahead will be days that will not be easy - in fact they will be quite horrendous. But be of good cheer and of good courage. Have Faith in Almighty God and His Word.

Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but hath everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17).

God so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and mine! God has thus provided a way to restore fellowship with sinners (all humans), and to remove His righteous wrath that was upon us because of our sins and trespasses

Well posted. Thank you.

I visited a church once that was teaching scripture line by line, verse by verse. It was exciting because that is VERY hard to find in the north east. Lots of ear tickling going on up here. I was excited until I found out that this teaching was ALL about proving that THAT view of scripture is wrong. Mind you, this was not about essential doctrine. This was not catholic (small c) christianity vs LDS or JWs. This was about end times issues. One woman actually questioned if those who believed differently were christians.

God judges the heart. He is qualified, i am not. If a person knows Jesus Christ as Lord God and saviour I'm simply not going to get in a pissing contest over 0 years or 3.5 years or 7 years no never. Sripture does not say "believe on a mid trib rapture and thou shalt be saved" people! The root of sin is pride. We need to get over ourselves.

Certainly more brainlessly, thoughtlessly, cluelessly rabid.

Perhaps you are right. Maybe the news items of the day are starting to register on the few synapses they have left.

Maybe they are starting to realize they have no remotely adequate explanation for current world affairs news

and

not a shred of a truly Biblical understanding of where we are, much less where we are soon headed.

It’s CONCEIVABLE though still highly doubtful . . . that they MAY be starting to get a hint of a faint glimmer of a thinly foggy hope that a new dawning of

A SOLID REALITY PERSPECTIVE is about to assault their senses.

THAT could be frightful enough!

They MAY just be realizing that their complacency in their LAZ-Y-BOY’s . . . regardless of how much they insist that the Anti-Christ and his goons are not anywhere near at the door . . .

JUST MAYBE OThuga and his dancing THE TREASON DESTROYER DANCE

JUST MAY be starting to alert them that REPLACEMENTARIAN FANTASIES are not going to define their realities much longer.

THEN what will they do with their rubber ‘Bibles’ in shreds, their family decimated by desiner flu, their bank accounts worthless, . . .

It’s conceivable they might just have to consider WAKING UP!

WHAT A FRIGHTFUL PROSPECT that must be for those who have sufficient brains left TO wake up.

Thoughtful insight. Hadn’t noticed. They are usually so rabid to just the signt of my screen name, I can miss such subtle changes in their foaming at their fingers.

Do you sense that the rubber bible people have become more anxious in the last few weeks?

Another fanciful sign of the "end times"?

I think your imagination is playing tricks again.

rubber bible

Another rubber fettish?

What possible credit should be given to ANY works of men?

Unless you are a “no creed but Christ” restorationist type, you will recognize that promise of the Holy Spirit includes God raising up faithful men to guard the faith once delivered. While we do not place these works on the same level as the Bible, we also recognize that it is human nature to interpret the Bible by our own imaginations and end up far from the truth (2 Peter 1:21). Testing what we think we read in the Bible by comparing that to what faithful believers down through the centuries have written is one way of deflecting error. It’s not perfect, but it works to a satisfactory degree.

For most fundamentalists of the futurist dispensationalist variety, church “history” only goes back to JN Darby and his band of merry men in the 1830. Everything before that, including the reformers like Calvin, where just untrustworthy and full of error in matter before the Church today, like eschatology.

When tradition trumps Word, it is confusion.

Hardly even suggested in my post.

On the other hand, when folks act as if 2000 years of church history does not exist and the novel stuff they have “discovered” on their own or from some yokel with enough money to buy time of the local cable station must fit the bill, there is really a serious problem.

Creedless Christianity is the cause of much woe in the Church, from liberalism to fundamentalist/charismatic nonsense.

I can’t see how everyone hasn’t been exposed.

I have mixed emotions myself. It would be an honor to suffer like the early Christians. If I have my choice I’d like for some muslim to stand behind me and demand I deny Christ and I’d say “Go to hell.” (Which is where he’ll be going.) He then slices off my head and immediately I’m in paradise!

Coming to get His church then staying around to whip Obama is all one time. We’re talking about “happenings”, not trips.

I asked the other day and still haven’t gotten a clear answer about what technology is available in Raptureland. Can you bring a laptop or do you need to get one there? Can you keep your same internet provider? How come none of these guys in Raptureland are sending back pictures?

I find it fascinatint that whose who don’t believe feel a need to argue with those of us who do. Are they trying to convince us or themselves?

The same can be said for any belief. I’ll stick with what the Church has taught for nearly two thousand years and reject your 19th century theory.
