My wife has had a number of health issues for a number of years. As a result we liked to go to St Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal every year or so. It’s a wonderful place where many healing miracles have happened.

Eight years ago at this time of the year we decided to go to the oratory with our two sons and my parents. To our surprise the day we went they were having an exhibition of a reliquary containing St Therese’s remains, which was then on a tour of Canada.

I’ve never been on a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands or even Lourdes but I imagine this would be what it was like. There were large crowds waiting to walk by the reliquary and afterward very long lines waiting to go to confession. It was amazing to see the young people (including my sons!) who were inspired by Therese to ask for God’s forgiveness.

Just my little story about my encounter with the little flower.
