Point taken. However, there is no reason to believe that yesterday’s earthquake had ANYTHING to do with any end times events.

Not in isolation. However, Christ did say Mark 13:8 'diverse' earthquakes were said to be part of the 'signs' as to when we get to that 'season'. Earthquakes to me shows just how little 'control' flesh man has on and over this earth. And it sure ought to be a signal to some on this planet when they burrow deep down into the earth to 'create' their deadly weapons, especially in already earthquake prone regions.

There have been earthquakes and tsunamis throughout history. They seem to be increasing, because we are so much more aware of them.

Go back to 1900 (my grandfather was alive then.) If and event like this happened then I doubt it even gets covered in the American newspapers. Maybe 1% of Americans might ever realize it happened.

Go to the 1950’s (my dad was alive then.) You might hear about it a day later on the radio or TV newscast. There would be no images from the area. Just a short one liner “there was a tsunami in Samoa yesterday that killed an estimated 100 people.”

Today. We knew the tsunami would happen before it happened. It was filmed. We saw images of it happening moments after it happened. Instead of being a far away, non-descript event it was up close and personal (despite being on the other side of the world.)

I don’t know if natural disasters are increasing (I’m doubt we have good records going back more than 100 years.) I do know our awareness of them is increasing. Every rumble or tremor is now worldwide news brought instantly to our attention.
