Jedediah is posting the bible and has now claimed to be an encourager more than a prophet, yet anyone who posts the Word can be said to be prophesying in a sense and all true prophecy ends in Christ.

The Lord’s messengers may appear in many forms, but a drunk on the street? Do you really think that the Lord chooses unrepentant sinners to be His prophets?

He’s not claiming to be a prophet? Really? How about this from his website:

“The Joshua Chronicles - Daily words of Revelation from the Lord
These are prophetic lyrics , poems and words of deep Revelation Knowledge and impartation for the Overcomer and Bride of Christ to encourage and impart blessings to the Readers to walk in the fullness of Christ Jesus !”

From the beginning of his post dated September 1, 2009:

“Choose this day Jesus The Word and originator ! Author and finisher Not a book or version !

Origination

Origination comes from Me not a book or verse yes from relationship for as my Word ( Jesus ) I knew you before you were formed is a deep depth not easily understood .”

Now, read that post, and tell me he is not speaking as if for the Lord in the first person!

I’d also like to point out that Satan himself can quote the Word, he knows it backwards and forwards, probably better than any man who has ever lived. Quoting the Bible would not excuse someone from being a false prophet.

Now you are limiting the Lord, who can do anything He wishes, often using the foolish to confound the wise.

He has used asses before. And let's not forget unwitting prophets such as Caiaphas

John 18:14

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Yes, but a false prophet leads one away from the Lord and Jedediah is pointing to Jesus.

First of all, I didn’t put any limits on the Lord, I simply asked a man who is claiming to be a prophet a question.

Now, as for your examples, being foolish is not a sin, neither is being an ass (the animal variety). However, a willful sinner is by his very nature out of communion with the Lord, unless he repents of his sinful ways.

As for Caiaphas, he was certainly not righteous in all his doings, but the passages detailing his prophecy link his prophecies to his office of High Priest. This position, prior to Christ’s ascension, entailed that he was the mediator between God and man, thus it was a role of his office (established and ordained by God) to prophecy. It’s my opinion that this alone allowed him to be both an unrighteous man, and to deliver prophecy.

Is he pointing to Jesus? How do you know this, simply because he says so? How would you distinguish between if he is pointing you to the true Jesus or “another Jesus”?

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2 Cor 11:3-4

Deliverance is easy when we just submit and surrender to the Lord you know, so he can fill us with his spirit to understand things of The Spirit of The Lord , deep calling to deep .
First comes surrender than deliverance and then healing !

You say:

“First comes surrender than deliverance and then healing !”

Please elaborate on the “surrender” that leads to deliverance. How do you believe one accomplishes this?

13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. 16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

We were forgiven by Jesus on the cross but repentance comes from opening our hearts to the Spirit of the living God for where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom right ?!
Jesus said go and sin no more that something worse come upon you ?!
Jesus said he left us the comforter for a reason and if we receive his gift fully of the Holy Spirit than Isaiah 11:2 comes alive in us first by The spirit of the Fear of The Lord than the others begin to open our eyes and ears .
It does not end with just receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior .
We must press in to hear his voice for as you well know all his sheep hear his voice fluently \o/

Ephesians 1:2-14

2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he[a] predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9And he[b] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
11In him we were also chosen,[c] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

A marked deposit which means we have to invest our time into Jesus to receive more !

How many baptisms are there ? Just water ?
Was the man on the cross baptised ?

What truly is baptism just water ?

If a FReeper fancies himself a prophet and posts his prophecies, can he be criticized as a false prophet or does his status as a FReeper somehow protect him?

No friggin' kidding. Good question. And is a virtual stoning out of the question for a virtual false prophet?

Without exception each has been an incoherent ramble, stringing phrases pulled from the Bible and from charismatic jargon in what can only be described as third order monkey typing.

If that wasn't such a long phrase, I'd steal it as my tagline.

NOBODY is questioning that a select group of people have the gift of prophecy, but this number is very small.

However, many of us also realize the danger of numerous false prophets.

Also, many do not consider a generic prediction which can be met by regularly occurring events to be a prophecy. Saying that there is going to be some sort of natural event (a flood, tornado, earthquake, hurricane, blizzard, etc.) will occur sometime in the near future is no more prophetic than the author of a newspaper horoscope saying that something unusual will happen in your life today.

Feel free to tweak it. "Without exception each has been an incoherent ramble, ... third order monkey typing."

I "borrowed" a good one from somebody a couple of Jedediah threads back: "Are you just eating instant coffee right from the jar now?"

Agreed! When the Canary Island quake occurs, the East Coast “coastal plain” could easily be destroyed.

Unfortunately, Florida could have the lower areas swept clean, and that includes the Everglades, where I live.

As Will & Ariel Durant said, civilization exists at the whim of geology and climate. Pompeii and the Viking settlements on Greenland are cases in point.
