Waiting for Obama to use this as Bilical citation for global warming.......
I’ve got a question that I don’t think is quite covered in the Religion Forum rules.
If a FReeper fancies himself a prophet and posts his prophecies, can he be criticized as a false prophet or does his status as a FReeper somehow protect him?
Did you know the above two verses are the ones the tempter (the devil) twisted as recorded in Matthew 4:6, as the 'devil' said "IF Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down:...." The 'devil' left out the relevant words 'to keep Thee in all Thy ways', and added at any 'at any time'.
One thing the Global Warming Alarmists fail to realize is that there is the same amount of water on the Earth now as there was 20,000,000 years ago. If the polar ice caps melt over centuries then the Earth would just go back to a condition it had already been in for Eons.
They also fail to realize that there have ALWAYS been natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes and there ALWAYS will be.
There will NOT 'always' be disasters like..... as in the eternity. This earth is going to be set right again and everything that offends the Heavenly Father will be removed.
Point taken. However, there is no reason to believe that yesterday’s earthquake had ANYTHING to do with any end times events.
I never. Said this is the end but the beginning ,it has just begun
Not in isolation. However, Christ did say Mark 13:8 'diverse' earthquakes were said to be part of the 'signs' as to when we get to that 'season'. Earthquakes to me shows just how little 'control' flesh man has on and over this earth. And it sure ought to be a signal to some on this planet when they burrow deep down into the earth to 'create' their deadly weapons, especially in already earthquake prone regions.
“I never. Said this is the end but the beginning ,it has just begun”
Or, and much more likely, it was a tsunami triggered by a tectonic plate shift, a result of the earth being in an elevated state of potential energy ever since the big bang. And it had nothing to do with God.
You need not accuse him yourself. Let the Word of the Lord do the accusing:
“And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.” Genesis 9:11
Yup, the water rose. And the water fell.
Ask the Samoans.
I mentioned that to the “prophet” last week.
“If a FReeper fancies himself a prophet and posts his prophecies, can he be criticized as a false prophet or does his status as a FReeper somehow protect him?”
Did the prophetic statements include anything that angered either the ADMIN MOD of the Viking Kitties?
;-)
It would not however be "making it personal" to observe that he has called himself a prophet but that claim and/or his prophecies are false. In that case, to keep the thread from becoming "about" an individual Freeper be sure to cite authorities for discussion, e.g. Bible, Catechism.
You’re right, but there is no data to suggest that there has been any change in earthquake activity.
