We are never told to pray to angels, only to Our Father in Heaven. I also disagree with the point in the OP that says they can hear our thoughts. I do not attribute this power to any but God. If people think angels can read our minds, then they would have to say demons (fallen angels) can too. Our praying to the Lord in our minds are between us and God only.

I DO, however believe angels and guardian angels exist and have had numerous experiences where no other reason, other than God using his divine messengers, could explain.

NYer: One more thought, too. Why are the angels, who's names we are given in Scripture, referred to as “Saints”?

To pray is to ask. If I ask (pray) you to give me a dollar, am I worshiping you?
