VATICAN CITY — Relations with the Russian Orthodox church have vastly improved, possibly paving the way for a papal visit to Moscow or a historic meeting between the pope and the Orthodox patriarch outside of Russia or the Vatican, a senior Vatican cardinal said Thursday.

This is nothing more than the opening of an opportunity for Pope Benedict XVI to visit Moscow, something that was not possible before.
I guess that's something. This is an issue dear to me.
As an Orthodox Christian, I’m not happy about this since its just another move towards ecumenicism. We have enough of that already.
