My opinion is that those mostly awake believers who do not acknowledge the imminent judgment are holding onto the hope (the lie?) that this time will be like the times of judgment in the past and life will continue. Perhaps it is because we are so comfortable in the USA and a feeling of "it can't happen to me" has settled in. Perhaps it is that to honestly contemplate and accept the truth being shown brings great fear and panic and it is easier to scoff than to be humble.
I'm sure each of us that has accepted the truth of the season we are living in has had to address the fear and panic, I know I have. The only way to overcome these emotions is to be buried with Messiah and to live in Him alone. This process is easier said than done, however, and many are not willing to go through that "faith barrier" to obtain the peace that the Spirit has to offer. This process includes letting go of all control over our lives to the Lordship of Messiah, it includes releasing the future of our children to the Lordship of Messiah, it includes releasing our pride, our self-will, and our traditions to the Lordship of Messiah.
When the day of judgment dawns on this nation it will be the believers that have this peace beyond all understanding, who have already died to this world and all that it holds, that will comfort and help those who didn't want to see but cannot deny it any longer. Some will be humbled and accept and cling with all their might to Messiah, and others will flee to the hills and try to run which will bring their demise.
All we can do is to pray for soft and humble hearts. We MUST trust in the LORD that all He foreknew will come to Him and none will be lost. We must be willing to forsake all (including those who will not come to Him) and follow Jesus, trusting in His character and His Word. It is not by our might, but by His alone that the battle is won. Not only the battle that is at the doorsteps of this world, but more importantly, the battle for the lost souls.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR POST 100%
THANKS MUCH.
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.
I agree, too.I pray all of us will have what it takes to persevere throughout all of this insanity.
