the new version are usually garbage

I really have to disagree with you. We all know of course that God didn't speak to us in 17th century English so of course no one would argue that the English of 400 years ago is "inspired" or more holy.

The thing is to have several versions, and cross check between them. It's pretty cool to have access to Greek and Hebrew reference material too. Oh, to be fluent in both so as to read the original manuscripts!

I totally agrre with your position. I dable also the Greek and Hebrew and the English is really a poor langauge to go from the greatest language Greek to a very limited language as English. Don't get me wrong some translations are OK and I use them all to get a better understanding of the Greek but some are just horrible. No offense... I just like the KJV.

I am not a KJV only freek as some are. I like the New KJV also
