Well, like I said, you certainly are LDS, because we know from experience everything is a numbers game with them. I especially like that retaining members who no longer attend because they are on the baptism rolls, makes that 3-4 million look like 13 with ease. I can't wait until the SLC PTB get the reading that they have dipped to the point that the “dead relatives of other faiths” baptism starts to count also.

But if you are trying to use such fallacious standards to prove that the LDS is the “true church” (the irony in typing that alone kills me LOL) you may want to run that by the Catholic Church as well as the Muslims, each numbering over a billion adherents and growing.

Unless you are willing to allow for other “true churches”, of course then what would be the point...

You have to wonder at the continued boasting by mormons of their numbers when the Pentecostal churches and the Christians who are, as in my case, in non-denominational churches are dwarfing their 13 million number.

This is a list of Christian denominations by number of members. It is inevitably partial and generally based on claims by the denominations themselves. The numbers should therefore be considered approximate.

Contents

Non-Denominational Evangelicalism - 40 million

Modern Protestantism - 190 million
