What about Catholic Professors that tell their students that abortion is okay?

They are acting in clear violation of Catholic Teaching. Not true of those protestant denominations which say they oppose abortion but deem the pill and the IUD okay.

“They are acting in clear violation of Catholic Teaching.”

So what? What are the consequences for flouting church teaching? At least with Luther the Bishops had the cajones to try to excommunicate him. The Bishops are acting like paper tigers, issuing edicts and disapprovals (SOUTH BEND, Indiana, May 6, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Following is an alphabetical list of bishops who have so far expressed disapproval of the University of Notre Dame's invitation to President Obama to give the commencement speech and receive an honorary law degree May 17.) strutting and fretting upon the stage, “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

By their settling for talk without any action or consequences the Bishops signal to the students that there is a disconnect between the church teaching and real life. The bible is clear that we are to come apart; that's why John says to the church at Thyatira that God has a controversy with it, Rev. 2:20-23, “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

As James says, “Faith without works is dead” or talk is cheap. It is costing Presbyterians and Anglicans their church properties and pastors their pensions for leaving apostate denominations. The Catholic colleges lose nothing for their apostasy.

When Obama does away with the Freedom of Conscience Act, the Bishops will run into the same problem with Catholic medical providers. Will they be willing to shut down the hospitals and clinics rather than provide abortions, contraceptives and referrals. By their stand with the colleges it looks like they will strut, fret, and fold.
