1. Did our Lord, Jesus Christ LIE when He said the Holy Spirt would come (which would mean that the Disciples experienced a mass hallucination at the Pentecost). or

2. Did the Holy Spirit LIE to the Church for 1500 years?

Not at all. The Protestant presumption is that CORE CHRISTIAN BELIEFS (the Real Presence, Sacraments, works, etc.) believed between the Pentecost and the early 16th century was somehow wrong.
