ottbmare, you suggest praying that God’s Will be done in Trig’s life.

Isn’t that pretty much a given? Who could trump God’s Will?

Simply praying that God’s Will be done is the same as not praying at all.

Not at all. A lot of things happen on this earth that are not God's will. As one example, people do things all the time that are not God's will for them.

Stan is quite active in this world, and he creates all sorts of suffering, wickedness, pain, and destruction. You cannot believe it is God's will that horrible things should happen.

I have learned not to try to coerce the Lord in my prayers. Prayer should not be an effort to talk God into doing what we want, but to bend our will to conform with His.
