This headline actually misses something obvious :

Trend shows Moral Issues Ahead of Party Lines

The more important question for Black Evangelicals is --- ARE MORAL ISSUES MORE IMPORTANT THAN RACE ?

I am a Chinese-American, but between a Chinese-American politician who is a raging liberal and a non-Chinese-American politician who is conservative, I'd vote for the later in a heartbeat. BELIEFS and VALUES and CHARACTER are more important to me than sharing a common skin color.

How many black evangelicals think like that ? THAT is the million dollar question.

Most of my friends are Asians and Filipinos. Being a Christian means a lot to them and the gay-marriage hoopla has soured a “number” of them because they know it’s immoral and the countries where they came from are very conservative.
