Not hardly..
But you do.
There is no “fourth person of the trinity” in Catholic teaching. Making a god out of anyone but the Blessed Trinity is a grave sin in Catholic teaching.
You agree with the Catholic Church and I heartily congratulate you for it.
There is this:
“The Memorare is a beautiful prayer that expresses our confidence in the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux.” (1090-1153)
“Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen.”
That sure sounds like prayer TO Mary, not asking Mary to pray WITH us...
You would be surprised to know how rarely, at the Wednesday prayer service, any of us ask for another’s prayers with words like that...
