You can point that same finger at the Dogma of Christ's Divinity since it did not happen until the Council of nicea,so your theory holds no weight. The early Church did teach Christ's Divinity, and so did the early Church write about Mary- all of these things are concrete teaching that become dogmatic as heresies grow ie; Like the arians who denied Christ's divinity and like calvinists trash the Blessed Mother
...and with all due respect dear friend ,there is NO reformation doctrine defined. If there was you would not have thousands of denominations and would be united under Luther.
There are no dogmatic teachings in protestantism. You obviously have no problem following that Catholic Dogmatic teaching on the Divinity of Christ and the development of Bible canon that came to you from the Catholic church
“You can point that same finger at the Dogma of Christ’s Divinity since it did not happen until the Council of nicea,so your theory holds no weight.”
Please tell me you didn’t write that!
When the Apostles proclaimed the divinity of Jesus, IAW what Jesus said, the listeners compared it to Scripture to see if what they said was true.
The divinity of Jesus holds up to that test. The adoration of Mary does not.
Nor is the Catholic Church responsible for the canon. The canon confirmed what the churches were already practicing.
