“Only for the Animal Blessing on St. Francis’s Day”
We have a a custom sort of like that, the Blessing of the New Cars. The priest says some prayers then everyone throws coins into the cars. Two years later its usually still worthwhile to look under a seat for that needed extra nickel or dime!
My old parish, St. Benedict’s of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, had a Blessing of Newly Licensed Drivers.
