I call him ‘Heavenly Father’. Is that okay by you? Am I allowed to call him ‘daddy (abba)’? Just checking...

I often refer to YHWH as Heavenly Father, but you can call Him Allah for all I care. I just try to call Him by the name He gave us in the Judeo-Christian Hebrew Scriptures. I figure there is a reason why He told us to call upon His name.

I think he'd be pretty mad if I called him Allah. It sounds like you need to start a new post about the name of God or something. The original post was about the Catholic doctrine of purgatory. Did we get off track somewhere or is everyone done discussing it?

There are many names for Him in scripture. Take your pick.
